Bob Keefe is E2’s Executive Director. He joined the organization in 2011 as its communications director after more than 20 years as a business, technology and political journalist. In addition to growing up in his family's business, Bob co-founded a technology news Web site and has co-authored or edited several business-related books. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina.  Contact Bob.

Jeff Benzak is E2's Press Secretary. He helps E2 amplify its unique business voice in the media. Prior to joining E2, Jeff worked at newspapers in Montana, Alaska and suburban New York City, where he covered local politics, sports and business. Jeff is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Contact Jeff.

Grant Carlisle is E2’s Director of Advocacy, heading up all federal relations and coordinating state strategies efforts with national policy. As its principal representative in Washington, DC, Grant develops and strengthens E2's relationships with members of Congress and the Administration, helping to push E2's policy priorities forward on the federal level. Prior to joining E2 in 2015, Grant worked in energy, environmental, technology, agriculture and defense policy in the Washington office of the law firm K&L Gates. From 2010 to 2013 Grant worked in energy and environmental policy for Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC). He is a graduate of UNC Asheville, and a native of North Carolina. Contact Grant.


Alice Tong is E2’s Eastern States Advocate. Alice works on state level policy in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining E2, she served as Northern Virginia political director for Sen. Mark Warner’s re-election campaign and deputy campaign manager for Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA). Alice previously worked on Capitol Hill and at a non-profit organization in New York City. She is a graduate of New York University and holds a master’s degree in media and communications from the London School of Economics. Contact Alice.


New York

Ying Li joined E2 full time in August 2011 and is now the Senior Development Coordinator. Prior to that she worked for many years in the Development Operations department at NRDC. Her most recent position there was as senior specialist, working on donor outreach, cultivation, events and data management. During that time, Ying also managed events, membership and advocacy for the New York Metro and New England chapters of E2. She has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Marketing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Contact Ying.


San Francisco

Victoria Brinkerhoff is E2's Program Assistant. Prior to joining E2, she was the Pollution Prevention Campaign Consultant at the Center for Environmental Health. She has experience as an Environmental Health & Public Policy Intern at Californians for a Healthy and Green Economy (CHANGE), an intern at Worksafe, Inc. and an Administrative Assistant at Ironwood Commercial Builders, Inc. Victoria is a graduate of UC Berkeley. Christine Luong is E2's Director of Member Engagement. She works with the business community to find opportunities to drive economic growth by supporting good environmental policies. Prior to joining E2, Christine worked in the health care sector, and also managed environmental health and safety projects with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National Education Association. She holds a master's degree in Public Administration from San Francisco State University and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University. Contact Christine.

Mary Solecki is E2's Western States Advocate. Mary works on state level policy in California, Oregon and Washington. She helps engage members with their state level representatives and policy. Mary has been with E2 since 2010, primarily focused on the Low Carbon Fuel Standard, part of California's cap-and-trade program. She has also led several of E2's research efforts, including the annual Advanced Biofuel Market Report. Mary has been consulting on energy policy since 2008, and has a background in sales and communications. She received her BS in Business from Indiana University and got her MBA from Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco. Contact Mary.



Gail Parson is E2’s Midwest States Advocate. Gail has spent more than 15 years in the nonprofit community in the Midwest, working on issues involving corporate partnerships, community networks, fundraising, communications and grassroots organizing. In addition, she has provided technical assistance to a variety of organizations to develop and implement successful local and federal advocacy campaigns. Gail is a graduate of Indiana University and holds a master’s degree in history from DePaul University. Contact Gail.


Pacific Northwest

Rebecca Deehr is E2's Pacific Northwest Advocate, focusing on state level issues in Washington and Oregon. A Washington native, she has led communications, policy, and outreach work for places both wild and urban. As a policy and communications analyst in the office of the Seattle mayor from 2009-2013, she launched and managed transportation initiatives and other policy projects. Prior to working for the City, she advocated for walkable communities at the Seattle non-profit Feet First, working as interim director and policy director. She began her non-profit career in 2000, working on wildlands issues for six years at the Washington Wilderness Coalition. She has a landscape architecture degree from the University of Washington. Susan Nedell is E2's Rocky Mountains Advocate. Susan has more than 20 years of experience in executive entrepreneurship within the cleantech, aerospace, and software industries. Most recently, she has worked as an Industry analyst  contributing to Pike Research’s Smart Transportation and Smart Buildings practices. Prior to this she was a senior manager at Eetrex, an early stage engineering company specializing in the development of chargers and inverter-chargers for electric trucks, and Li-ion battery systems for stationary storage. In 1992, Nedell co-founded Wyndemere, an aerospace product design and engineering firm specializing in flight data analysis, decision support systems and aircraft electronics, which was recognized by the Inc 500 list in 1998.  Nedell began her career as a planetary geologist at the SETI Institute and NASA Ames Research Center, and holds a BA in geology from the University of Vermont as well as an MS in geology from San Jose State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Water Engineering and Management from the University of Colorado.
