E2: President's Climate Change Plan Will Help Environment, Economy

WASHINGTON (June 25, 2013) - President Obama’s plan to cut carbon pollution while increasing renewable energy development and energy efficiency is good for the environment but also good for the economy, according to Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), a nationwide network of business leaders and investors.

Following is a statement from Nicole Lederer, co-founder of Environmental Entrepreneurs:

“The president’s initiative is an economic growth and security plan for this country.

“Carbon pollution isn’t just hurting our planet and our health, it’s also hurting the bottom lines of companies all across America.

“President Obama has given us a commonsense approach to reduce the mounting economic costs of climate change by cutting carbon pollution, while at the same time sending a clear and critical market signal that will continue to drive American leadership and innovation in the clean energy sector.”
