E2 Advocacy Projects: Federal Global Warming Legislation

The United States must quickly pass strong legislation that includes a mandatory, declining cap on emissions of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping pollutants. Furthermore, legislative action must outpace events - such as energy crises arising from sudden price surges of gas at the pump. The federal government will need to work with both states and companies to find the best path toward reducing global warming emissions.
